Description
The perennially popular Nelson type comes in many different shapes and sizes but all share the core characteristics that make them so popular: A combination of classic looks, stable hull design and proven reliability, and Calypso, our example here, shares all these attributes with her siblings.
Built by F S Dinnis of Cowes to a Peter Thornycroft design in 1966 her timeless looks could have come from any decade since. She is powered by a pair of Ford Mermaid 4 Turbo engines renowned for their ruggedness and reliability that will drive her classic Nelson keel through water others might fear to tread. Of course with a civilian Nelson it is not all high seas and derring-do, there are also enough creature comforts on hand to make a relaxing few days away quite possible. Calypso has all the basic amenities you might need plus a pleasant aft deck to enjoy sunny evenings on.
Having undergone improvement by her current owner Calypso is ready for new adventures to add to her collection.
