Nellie CC237 is a mark 1 Cornish Crabber built in 1979 and hull number 237. The hull is probably the only original item remaining after she was given an extensive refit by her present owner. Beautifully restored/rebuilt using top grade materials. Iroko/teak grating and brightwork make this example of a popular class very attractive. The Cornish Crabber class has enjoyed a long history of coastal cruising and has an active association. A new Beta 16hp inboard engine was fitted during the refit in 2020. The pictures speak for themselves, and a viewing is highly recommended.

The Mk1 has sleeping accommodation for four people, with a double "V"-berth in the bow cabin and two straight settee quarter berths in the main cabin. The galley is located on the starboard side just aft of the bow cabin. The galley is equipped with a portable gas single burner and a stainless steel sink. Freshwater tank holding 20 ltr. The head (Jabsco twist and lock standard bowl) is located centred in the bow cabin, under the "V"-berth. Cabin headroom is 51 in (130 cm).
    Seating Upholstery new 2021.

    Owner’s comments
Nellie was purchased in 2019 and has undergone a major rebuild and upgrade in 2021.
The deck was replaced with marine ply, covered with 2 layers of woven GRP and fared ready for the Awlgrip non slip paint finish.
The hull was also painted with Awlgrip marine paint and all wood work has been varnished with Epifanes yacht varnish.
The new deck gear enables this yacht to now be sailed single handed.
This year she raced in the 90th Round the Island Race and won the Discovery Trophy (old Gaffers div 2)
